William Joseph Sturm, Jr.,
age 59, of Toledo passed away
Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the
Dorn Veteran's Hospital, in South
Carolina.
A
graduate of Roger's High School,
Bill later enlisted in the U.S.
Marine Corp. and served two years in
Vietnam. For twenty years, he owned
and operated Go For It Transporation
trucking company, which his eldest
daughter, Shannon helped him run.
For four years, he was a member of
the Toledo Yacht Club. In 2000, he
followed his heart to the open roads
of Scotsdale, Arizona where he could
ride his 1998 Harley Davidson Ultra
Glide and feel the wind on his face.
While there, he opened a mortgage
company and became a champion pool
player, winning many tournaments. In
2005, Bill retired to his daughter,
April's horse farm in South Carolina
to help her follow her passion. Bill
was a free-spirit whose influence
will live on in his children and
grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory
are his daughters: Shannon (Joseph)
Beck, of Toledo and April (John)
Aryan, of Clover, SC; grandchildren:
Troy, Brittany, and Devin; mother:
Katherine Archambo, of Laguna Hills,
CA; and sister: Dollie (Don) Poulos,
of Mission Viejo, CA.
A celebration of Bill's life will be
held at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712
N. Main St., Sylvania, on Saturday,
December 2, 2006 at 1:00PM. Friends
are invited to gather one hour prior
to the service. Military honors will
be presented.
Those wishing to give contributions,
in lieu of flowers, are asked to
consider donating to the family to
go towards Bill's grandchildren's
education.
