William J. Sturm, Jr.

1947 to 2006

William Joseph Sturm, Jr., age 59, of Toledo passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the Dorn Veteran's Hospital, in South Carolina.
A graduate of Roger's High School, Bill later enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. and served two years in Vietnam. For twenty years, he owned and operated Go For It Transporation trucking company, which his eldest daughter, Shannon helped him run. For four years, he was a member of the Toledo Yacht Club. In 2000, he followed his heart to the open roads of Scotsdale, Arizona where he could ride his 1998 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide and feel the wind on his face. While there, he opened a mortgage company and became a champion pool player, winning many tournaments. In 2005, Bill retired to his daughter, April's horse farm in South Carolina to help her follow her passion. Bill was a free-spirit whose influence will live on in his children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Shannon (Joseph) Beck, of Toledo and April (John) Aryan, of Clover, SC; grandchildren: Troy, Brittany, and Devin; mother: Katherine Archambo, of Laguna Hills, CA; and sister: Dollie (Don) Poulos, of Mission Viejo, CA.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 1:00PM. Friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service. Military honors will be presented.

Those wishing to give contributions, in lieu of flowers, are asked to consider donating to the family to go towards Bill's grandchildren's education.
