Gwendolyn
M. Reading, 88, of Oldsmar,
FL, and formerly of Toledo, OH,
passed away Sunday September 9, 2007
at her residence, in Oldsmar, with
her loving family by her side.

Gwendolyn was employed with the
American Propeller Company from 1942
until 1945. She co-owned and
operated the Travelers Rest Motel
from 1960 until 1972. After leaving
the motel business, Gwendolyn began
purchasing racehorses that were
trained by her husband, she retired
in 2005. She was an avid fan of the
Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers.
She is survived by her loving
husband of more than 64 years, John
F. Reading; daughters Barbara
Wilczynski of Toledo, OH and Jacalyn
(Henry) Halloway of Ypsilanti, MI; 7
grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren;
and 4 great great-grandchildren; she
was preceded in death by her parents
Reverend Charles and Clara (Schade)
Rex; sister Lena Oliphant; brothers
George, Howard, and Robert Rex; and
son in law Harold Wilczynski.
