Richard A. Guess, age
75, of Sylvania, passed away
suddenly Wednesday, September 12,
2007 at Flower Hospital. Dick was a
U.S.
 Marine
Corp Veteran, serving during the
Korean Conflict. He retired from
Hydramatic after 37 years of
employment in 1997, and still
enjoyed attending monthly retiree
breakfasts. He and his lovely wife,
Lois, took pleasure in wintering in
New Smyrna Beach, FL for the past 10
years.
Dick is survived by his wife of 51
years: Lois; daughters: Cindy (Phil)
Wiese, Rochelle (David) Stephens,
and Kelly (Glen R.) Brandt;
grandchildren: Megan Wiese, Nina
Duran, Kyle and Eric Stephens;
sisters: Annette (John) Machcinski
and Barb (Jim) Nowakowski; brothers:
Bob (Geri Stanford) Guess, Russ
(Barb) Guess, Jerry (Katie) Guess,
and Kenny (Sheryl) Guess. He was
preceded in death by his parents Eli
“Sam” and Mary Guess.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral
Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, OH
on Sunday, September 16, 2007 from 3
p.m. until 9 p.m., where the funeral
service will be held on Monday at 11
a.m. with Pastor Tom Zimmerman
officiating. Entombment will follow
at Toledo Memorial Park
