Douglas A. Olrich, 65, of
Toledo, OH, passed away Thursday
November 22, 2007, at the Comfort
Care Unit of Lake Park.
He owned and operated Doug’s Speed
Shop from 1966 until 1970. Doug
then
began employment with Cummins Diesel
where he was Asst. Service Manager
for more than 22 years, and he also
worked for various truck dealerships
until his retirement from Magnum
Power Sports in 2004. He was a loyal
University of Michigan Football Fan,
and a season ticket holder. Doug
enjoyed hunting, fishing,
snowmobiling, a serious game of
Euchre, and spending time with
family members at Hilton Head. Doug
was a member of the Ottawa Lake
Sportsman’s Club and the
Southwestern Sportsman’s Club of
Temperance, Michigan. He enjoyed the
sport of Drag Racing. Doug was proud
to have won First Place in the
Modified Division, at the Grand
National Drag Racing Meet held in
Indianapolis, IN, September of 1967.
Doug is survived by his loving wife,
of more than 45 years, Linda (Stierle)
Olrich; daughters Carla (Mark)
Majewski of Toledo, OH, Cindy Sparks
of Harper Woods, MI, and Cheryl
(Brad) Burton of Petersburg, MI;
grandchildren Aaron, Sarah, and Adam
Majewski, Amber Keeler, Ryan and
Alanna Sparks, and Jamie and Cassidy
Burton; mother Ruth Olrich; sister
Phyllis “PJ” Henson; brothers
Gilbert and Gale (Gail) Olrich; and
special nieces and nephews; and
numerous loyal friends. He was
preceded in death by his father
Kenneth G. Olrich of Ottawa Lake,
MI.

The Funeral Ceremony will be
conducted at the St. Luke’s Lutheran
Church, Temperance, MI, where Pastor
Frank A. Paine will officiate Monday
at 11 AM. Interment will follow at
Ravine Cemetery, Sylvania.

lieu of flowers, are asked to
