William “Bill” Dittman, Jr ., age
52, of Ottawa Lake, MI, passed away
Saturday, December 15, 2007, at
Hospice of Northwest Ohio,
Perrysburg, with his wife and
daughters by his side.
Bill was born February 3, 1955, in
Toledo, OH, to William Robert
Dittman, Sr. and Barbara Ann (Kemberling)
Dittman.
A self-employed mason contractor,
Bill was very proud of taking part
in the construction of many
buildings in the Toledo and Ann
Arbor area. His wife and four
daughters were his passion. Known as
“Mr. Bill”, he will be remembered
for not only attending all of his
girl’s school functions, but also
for baking cookies!
Left to cherish his memory are his
loving wife of 27 years: Elaine
“Layne” Dittman; daughters; Lynn,
Jeny, Jill, and Lea; sister: Nancy
(Kevin) Shoemaker; parents: Bill and
Barbara Dittman; niece: Sarah Ann
Shoemaker; and nephew: Michael
Robert Shoemaker.
The family will receive friends at
the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main
St., Sylvania on Wednesday, December
19th, 2007 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM.
A private service will be held at a
later date.
In lieu of flowers, in honor of
education being Bill’s priority,
memorials may be made to the Lea
Dittman Education Fund c/o 5/3rd
