Dr.
Robert J Somogye passed
away Friday May 30th
2008. Bob and his wife June, just
celebrated their 57th
wedding anniversary. He was born 
August
25th, 1929 to Stephen and
Mary Somogye in Tonawanda, New York.
He married June Ellen Rose on May 18th,
1951, she survives. He graduated
from Kenmore High School, Kenmore,
NY. He graduated from Bowling Green
University with a bachelor’s
degree in 1951. Robert earned his
Masters degree and Doctorate from
The University of Toledo. Bob served
in the United States Air Force full
time and as a Reserve Officer,
retiring after 47 years with the
rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He
started teaching at the collage
level at Lorain County Community
Collage in 1965, then advanced to
the University of Toledo in 1967. He
held many positions until his
retirement in 1989 as an Associate
Dean. He filled his retirement by
teaching at Adrian Community
Collage, driving his tractor and
spending time with his wife,
grandchildren, and great
grandchildren.
He
is survived by his sons, Brian (Mary
Karen) and Scott, daughters Karen,
Mary(Ron) Coons, and Laura(Jon)
Jaffe. He was preceded in death by
his brother Roy and sons Dana and
Allan.

Monday June 2nd. From 4
PM till 9PM. Services will be held
Tuesday June 3rd at 11 AM
with internment following at Toledo
Memorial Park.
The
family suggests any memorials be
sent to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in
lieu of flowers.
