Stephen
J. Lintner (Spud) of Sylvania passed
away, Monday, November 10, 2008 in
his home after a brief illness. He
was born August 11,1951 in Toledo to
parents Stephen J. Lintner Sr. and
Mable Albright Lintner. He resided
in Toledo, Lambertville, Michigan
and Sylvania. Steve graduated in
1974 with a B.S. in Business and
Personnel from the University of
Toledo. He earned all his own
tuition. In his senior year,
Steve
was employed by People’s Savings
Association, soon becoming a manager
at several branches. He was much
appreciated by Ed Knowles, President
of People’s Savings. Steve
continued with its successor,
Charter One. He also worked with
Junior Achievement. In 1989 he was
employed by the City of Sylvania
later becoming its Recycling Manager
and most recently the Facilities
Manager. Steve was an athlete and an
avid sports fan, beginning with
Little League baseball and
continuing with lettering on the
DeVilbiss High School’s Varsity
baseball and football teams. He
followed the Detroit Tigers,
recently receiving from Willie
Horton a letter and certificate
acknowledging him as a dedicated
fan. He was a devoted University of
Michigan and Detroit Red Wings fan.
Steve was a very thoughtful and
generous man, not only to his family
but also providing food for the
needy. He grew up attending Monroe
Street United Methodist Church where
he was confirmed and married. He
sang in the Youth Choirs and could
recite all the books of the Bible as
a child. He leaves a wife, Margaret
(Rauch); daughter Laura (Ben) Allen;
mother, Mable Bridgman; sisters,
Pauline (Clyde) Schafer and Joyce
(Terry) Teopas; grandchildren, Emma,
Ashlynn and Jackson; a nephew,
Nicholas Teopas, and niece, Alison
Teopas; one aunt, Betty Lintner and
cousins and his good friend, Jim
Muhn.

Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St.,
Sylvania, Ohio Friday November 14th
from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Funeral
Services will be held at the Reeb
Funeral Home on Saturday, November
15th at 11:00 A.M. .
In
lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be given to
Promedica Hospice or The Northwest
Ohio Food Bank.
